Project Game ON

Today, Omaha Public Schools, the YMCA of Greater Omaha, The Lozier Foundation and The Sherwood Foundation, among other project partners, are proud to announce Project Game ON, which will advance youth achievement and public health in North Omaha through the design and construction of a new Butler-Gast YMCA and a game-changing stadium for North High.

After decades as a community gathering place for people of all ages, the Butler-Gast YMCA will be transformed into a custom-designed facility to meet the needs of current members and future generations. And North High, which has produced notable success in many activities that utilize a stadium setting, including football and soccer, will get a new stadium worthy of our students.

This project will be built on decades of feedback provided by staff and students at Omaha Public Schools and members of the Butler-Gast YMCA. The new YMCA will be designed with members in mind, and North High students and YMCA members will be involved in the design and construction process with project partners.
