#VikingProudYesterday, I caught up with Jay-Boi Robinson, a fellow Omaha North High School grad, artist, entrepreneur, & founder of Jay-Boi Production and Youth Development. We first met about 7 years ago when he was in the early stages of launching a recording studio as a safe space with solid equipment for young artists to hone their craft. Starting in a 50 sq. ft. space in North Omaha, through partnerships and hard work, he’s now expanded to a larger studio near Little Italy, offering multiple recording rooms and resources for artists at all levels.
He’s also launched the Omaha Recording Academy to help emerging artists build skills from music production to distribution and beyond. And his vision doesn’t stop there—he’s planning to transform his Little Italy location into a hub that supports emerging artists while attracting experienced talent. As an artist himself, he gave me a sneak peek of one of his latest tracks—so good!
