Dan Sorensen
class of 1962
Sorensen was a member of the undefeated 1961 state football championship team that was inducted into the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame in 2011 and the 1961 Storz American Legion Baseball Team that was city, state and regional champions. He organized & supervised volunteer in building over 300 playgrounds in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Colorado and Florida. He organized 15th and 50th year reunions for the Storz Baseball Team.
North High offers a special curriculum and expanded resources for students choosing to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For the past two decades, the Omaha North High School Foundation has contributed funds and resources to support the students who have chosen these pathways of learning and the teachers who light their way.
