LaSharah Bunting

LaSharah is Vice President at The 19th, an independent, nonprofit newsroom reporting on gender, politics and policy. Previously, she was the first woman of color to serve as CEO and Executive Director of the Online News Association (ONA). She also served as Vice President and Executive Editor at Simon & Schuster. She has managed a $100 million portfolio that accelerated digital and organizational transformation in newsrooms while advancing equity and inclusion. As Senior Editor for Digital Transition at The New York Times, she led the implementation of digital skills and organizational change across the newsroom.
