LaShonna Dorsey
class of 1997
Shonna has demonstrated expertise in project management, community engagement, and leadership in information technology and non-profit sectors through Aksarben Foundation initiatives. As Executive Director of internNE, she has raised awareness of $20 million in statewide internship grants and hosted events in support of internship opportunities. She leads state efforts to drive tech community engagement, networking, and development as Executive Director of Nebraska Tech Collaborative. In 2018, Governor Pete Ricketts appointed her to the Nebraska Information Technology Commission. She has also served on the North High Foundation Board.
North High offers a special curriculum and expanded resources for students choosing to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For the past two decades, the Omaha North High School Foundation has contributed funds and resources to support the students who have chosen these pathways of learning and the teachers who light their way.
