Maher Jafari
class of 1993
As the head of story development for production companies at three major studios, Maher has been instrumental in over 400 television episodes, including hit prime-time comedies, documentaries, and live events. He has managed development of 25 comedy and drama projects including Wanda at Large, The Drew Carey Show, Norm, Nikki, and The Oblongs. Having recently moved back to Omaha, he premiered his short film Dammed If You Do in March at the Omaha Film Festival. Jafari was chosen for the ABC Associates Program, the Warner Brothers Writing Program and is the winner of the 24th Annual John Lux Award for Outstanding Service.
North High offers a special curriculum and expanded resources for students choosing to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For the past two decades, the Omaha North High School Foundation has contributed funds and resources to support the students who have chosen these pathways of learning and the teachers who light their way.
