Mark Wetzel

Referred to as the "The Horse Whisper of Baseball" and "Blind Guy Hitting," Mark Wetzel -- legally blind since age eleven – overcame his affliction to help world-class batsmen such as Albert Pujols and Tony Gwynn, as well as numerous college and youth hitters. Despite blindness from macular degeneration of the retina, Mark has become one of the nation’s top batting instructors. Athletes nationwide have come to his facility, Great Swings Inc., to work with him. Mark’s story has been featured on ESPN Sporting News, CNN, Fox News, New York and LA Times, and Paul Harvey’s "The Rest of the Story." Mark is honored for his unique and outstanding contribution to our national pastime.
