Richard L. Briley
A veteran of World War II, he grew up in the foster care system. At North, he taught biology, chemistry, and physiology and anatomy and was a favorite teacher for many of his students.
North High offers a special curriculum and expanded resources for students choosing to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For the past two decades, the Omaha North High School Foundation has contributed funds and resources to support the students who have chosen these pathways of learning and the teachers who light their way.
