Throughout his life, Rod Johnsen balanced his successful business career with devotion to family life and his dedication to helping his community and those in need. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he made a career in accounting at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. This career took him to many places around the world. Rod’s volunteerism includes being a youth football and softball coach, playing Santa, Lions Club, Elks, and Shriners, for which he served as a “hospital dad,” taking children to Shriners hospitals. In addition, Rod has been active in organizing his class reunions and, since 2014, has spearheaded raising over $77,000 for the Omaha North Class of 1964 Scholarship.
