Rod Johnsen

class of 1964

Throughout his life, Rod Johnsen balanced his successful business career with devotion to family life and his dedication to helping his community and those in need. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he made a career in accounting at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. This career took him to many places around the world. Rod’s volunteerism includes being a youth football and softball coach, playing Santa, Lions Club, Elks, and Shriners, for which he served as a “hospital dad,” taking children to Shriners hospitals. In addition, Rod has been active in organizing his class reunions and, since 2014, has spearheaded raising over $77,000 for the Omaha North Class of 1964 Scholarship.
