Scott attended UNK and then transferred to Nebraska Wesleyan University to receive an academic scholarship and play football. Upon graduation, he was asked to be Wesleyan’s Defensive Coordinator and then held the same position at Western Washington University and Northwest Missouri State University where after 13 years, he became the head football coach. Through his outstanding coaching and enthusiasm, he helped develop the top NCAA Division II football program. The Northwest Missouri football dynasty has had three National Championships, two during Scott’s tenure. He was named the Division II Assistant Coach of the Year in 2007. Scott was inducted into the Nebraska Wesleyan and the NW Missouri State University’s Hall of Fame. Coach Bostwick died unexpectedly on June 5, 2011. His memory lives on in those he coached, those he loved and so many who loved and admired him.
